After school clubs can be an important part of children’s holiday experiences. They can meet new friends, learn new skills and have fun, with the added bonus that mum and dad don’t need to use all their holidays up in the school holidays!

SCL offer fun and enjoyable Club Energy sessions. These are good for children who are sporty, creative or both. They offer a wide range of activities such as games, team sports, arts, crafts, drama and dance.

QMC Holiday Activities

Queen Mary’s College offers 3 different holiday activity clubs. The morning sessions can be combined with the sporting stars sessions for an additional £10 per session so would be £20 for a full day from 8.30am – 4.30pm.
Creative Stars is a cooking, arts and crafts session every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday during school holidays from 9am to 11am. This is for children aged 7 to 11.

Dancing Stars is a fun and energetic dance workshop for 7 year olds to 11 year olds. These are every Wednesday between 9am and 11am.

Sporting Stars is a fun and energetic dance workshop for 7 year olds to 11 year olds.These run Monday-Friday from 9am – 4pm during school holidays. Book 4 days and get the 5th free. Or book 2 siblings and pay just £15 per day.

Pro-Skills Coaching

Offering sports camps across the UK for ages 4 years to 11 years. Sports include ultimate frisbee, mini olympics, basketball, tag rugby, football and much more. Lunch, drinks and suitable clothing need to be provided by parents.

They offer Dance and Drama, Multi-sports and Football sessions at the Vyne Community School and also in Aldershot Garrison. Can also be booked for the next holidays too. They also offer longer and shorter days for each session. One runs 9am – 3.30pm and the other is 8.30am – 5.30pm. You can also use this website to search for before/after school activities and also weekend activities.

The Gordon Brown Centre Activity Days

The activity days here start 9.30am and finish 3.30pm however they do also run a breakfast club from 8.30am and an afternoon club until 4.30pm for an additional charge. They offer a variety of activities from sports day type activities to cooking activity sessions. Children can attend from the age of 4 if they are in full time education right up to 12 years old.

Filmmaking for Kids

They offer courses designed to encourage and inspire creativity through filmmaking. They will do things like script writing, storyboarding, acting, camera and sound operating and editing. This is open for young people aged 7 years – 12 years and 12 years to 16 years for the Film Future course.

Here they offer skill practice, games and free play. Suitable for all abilities and open for children from 5 years to 12 years. All children must bring a packed lunch

ISIS Afterschool and Holiday Club

ISIS is a fully Ofsted registered Out of School and Holiday Club in Basingstoke. They have clubs based in South View and Winklebury. They open after school Monday – Friday between 3pm and 6pm. They collect the children from school, provide a hot tea and then the children can play until home time. Collections from school are made by fully qualified playworkers with relevant DBS checks and First Aid. They will travel on foot or by car/minibus.

Fun House Out of School Club is fully Ofsted registered for children aged 4-14 years. They provide a well planned and organised play environment that encourages children to make decisions for themselves. They run a breakfast club, after school club and also a holiday club.

Spotlight

Spotlight are a charity who provide activities for over 600 children in Basingstoke every week. They have an Ofsted registered after school club where children can choose between different activities such as performing arts, sports, crafts, music or games. They offer childcare from 4 to 11 year olds and there are 3 age groups in three rooms and a large hall. All staff are CRB checked and qualified.

Hatch Warren After School Club

Open to children who attend Hatch Warren Infant and Junior School and St Mark’s Primary School. The sessions run Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm. All staff are trained and qualified in childcare for all age ranges and are DBS checked.

Freddies Club – Fairfields School only

Opened in 2003, Fairfields School has offered an out of school club where pupils are provided with top quality play and care provided by suitably qualified staff. They run a breakfast club from 7.55am to 8.50am and an after school club from 3.15pm to 6pm. The breakfast club will have cereals, toast and fruit juices and the after school club has a sandwich, fruit, cake and drink.

Out of School at Winklebury

They collect children from Castle Hill Infant and Juniors, Winklebury Infants and Junior, Kempshott Infants and Juniors and Kings Furlong Infants and Juniors. They provide a light tea on arrival and have activities such as crafts, films, computer activities and sports. Open Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm.

Tall Trees Out of School Club

Based in Tadley, they pick up from all schools in the tadley area. Children are given a light tea and lots of activities are available such as arts and crafts, sports, cooking and outdoor play. They also provide full day care during summer holidays. They are open to all children aged 4 – 12 years and are open 51 weeks a year (closed only for 1 week between Christmas and New Year).

Willowdene Club

Willowdene offer a Breakfast Club, an After School Club and a Holiday Club. They collect and drop off children to/from Four Lanes during term time. Open for ages 5 – 12 years, activities are varied and different every day. They operate all year round. Breakfast club starts at 7.30am, after school club is from 3.30pm to 6pm and holiday club is available from 7.30am to 6pm.
