Dear Mums & Mums to be,
I’m a mature female art student seeking potential participants for my arts research project, which is a portrait study of pre and postnatal mums.
I have begun this and successfully completed a couple of studies with good feedback.
I now need more subjects and hope to hear from anybody who would be happy to sit for me, for an hour.
I can provide a digital copy of photos via email and I’m happy to answer any questions.
The study is academically assessed and not for commercial purposes.
If you are interested I can be contacted on: 07467085898 or email@example.com
I look forward to hearing from you
This looks worth doing, just for the prizes alone!
It starts at 12pm today in Festival Place
#lockyourlove at Festival Place this Valentine’s Day
Launching on 31st January in association with The Breeze radio station, and running for two weeks until Valentine’s Day on 14th February, shoppers will be given the opportunity to personalise a padlock with a tribute to their loved one and attach it to the Festival Place heart. By taking a picture of their padlock and sharing on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the #lockyourlove hashtag participants will also have the chance to win Big Brand prizes from Festival Place retailers including Nando’s, Giraffe, Wagamama, Build-A-Bear, Thorntons and The Perfume Shop.
The heart sculpture has been lovingly created by two local artists, Helen Dyne and Louise Hight, who met recently through All Our Own Crafts, a pop-up shop in Festival Place promoting local crafters. Shoppers will also be encouraged to share the love this Valentine’s Day by donating to Festival Place’s chosen local charity, the Ark Cancer Centre, when they receive their padlock in centre.
Commenting on the #lockyourlove event, Marketing Manager at Festival Place, Sarah Murphy, said: “We’re really looking forward to revealing the heart installation in centre this weekend which has been beautifully designed and created by some of our prominent local artists. It will be exciting to see it transform as shoppers add their padlocks as tributes to their loved ones and there are some fantastic prizes to be won from our generous retailers! We really hope that people will also dig deep and share the love this Valentine’s Day by donating to the Ark Cancer Centre.”

I’m hosting a VERY informal NHM Meet up on Saturday 12th July from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
Basically, I will be there with Miss NHM, a picnic blanket, some picnic food and a football.
This will be a chance to meet other NHM Readers and an opportunity to make some new friends.
If you would like to come along, it would be great if you could register at the following Eventbrite link HERE, so I have some idea of numbers.
This isn’t a formal thing, it’s just a group of families meeting up for a catch up ;-).
I hope you can make it! 😀

I’m gutted that we can’t go to this today. I didn’t get to go last year because we were away and had every intention of making it this year, but Miss NHM has chickenpox!
It’s on today from 12pm to 3pm and you can experience the sights, smells and bustle of an authentic street food market, where you’ll find some of your favourite restaurants cooking up bite size versions of their bestselling dishes for you to try for free.
Find out more here: http://www.festivalplace.co.uk/eat_street.htm
John Torode will also be there and has recorded this short video about Eat Street: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHQYoV3zfBc
If you do make it to Eat Street, please have some food for me and Miss NHM!! ????
I’ve mentioned the Ohh Mama group before on NHM in a post about 10 Things for Mum’s to Do in Basingstoke without their children.
Ohh Mama is a group of local Mum’s who get together and sing their hearts out!
They are doing a charity concert on the 5th of October, at Cliddesden Village Hall, in aid of Sebastian’s Action Trust who support the families of seriously ill children.
Have a look at the poster for more details. It’s for a great cause and you will have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw.
